Sailboat racing throughout the year.
1) Series Racing for those boaters who like to compete. There are four different series...winter series, spring series, summer series and fall series. At the end of each series, the top three finishers receive trophies. Series racing takes place each Sunday as scheduled (refer to Race Calendar).
2) Beer Can Racing for those who want to 'cruise' or lay-back sail and have a good time sailing without 'racing rules' competition. Races take place on Wednesday evening during daylight saving time and Saturdays during standard time.
3) Regatta is the sport of yacht racing. JYC sponsors four main regattas during the year. Usually different boat classes compete. Our Hospitality Regatta is our biggest regatta. Social activites also take place during a regatta.
4) Club boats available to members. The club has two Flying Scot sailboats for use by members. To reserve a date and time for use, click on Flying Scot reservation located on the left sidebar. Your reservation request will be sent by e-mail to a member of the Harbor Committee to verify your certification (refer to Harbor Rules, paragraph H). The current Harbor Committee contact is Caleb Cannon or Bishop Blackwell. Upon verification, you will be notified by e-mail that your reservation is confirmed
